Summit Crown Jewel
This Queen Anne Victorian was my first foray into a restoration. It’s one of those projects where you’re onsite studying the home itself. When onsite I was both capturing moldings and profiles because we were creating actual reproductions of certain elements in the house (the right column in the master bath is brand new) but I was also capturing details from stairs and various corbels to pull into the kitchen and keep the house feeling consistent in its level of detail.
In addition to capturing and proposing some of the key details of the project, I also largely managed this job by myself. Project management is all about holding the whole vision together and leaving no stone unturned. I covered anything and everything relevant to making the final decision to move forward with the builder—ensuring that the client fully understood and was comfortable with our shared vision of the outcome so that when it was delivered they were delighted. Below are some of the original details in the house that I pulled into the new interiors.
